A personal automation that starts my car before I need to leave for a calendar event, and texts me first with a chance to cancel.
CabinReady watches one Google Calendar for events that are tagged and have a location. For each one, it looks up live drive time and current weather, and — only when it's actually cold or hot enough to be worth it — remote-starts the car through the vehicle manufacturer's own connected-car service, timed so it's warmed up or cooled down by the time I need to leave.
Before it starts the car, it can send a text: once a day, a summary of everything planned for that day, and again a few minutes before each actual start. Every text includes a one-tap link to cancel that specific startup. Texts only go to a phone number that has completed the sign-up / opt-in form — see that page for exactly what that involves.
This is a single-person hobby project, not a business or a product offered to anyone else. The person who built it, configured it, and receives its texts is the same person. There's no customer list, no marketing, and no data shared with or sold to any third party.
